I’m in World Cup Giveway

As I referred in one of my previous posts (check it here) Giveaway events can be one very effective strategy to drive traffic to our blog and thus create a list.

Having that said, I wanted to enter in Giveaways Events not only to test the strategy but also to see the reactions to these events. So I’m not in dozens of giveaways simultaneously, I’m in one giveaway that I selected according the following criteria:

1. I wanted to offer a real value gift, not just a simple report about nothing and everything; it took me some time but I believe I really found a nice software that will help all of those who are working to establish a business online;

2. I wanted a Giveaway event run by people I know and trust; the Giveaway I entered was recommended to me by Paul Teague, who I consider a master in Giveaway events:

3. I want that my subscribers that will participate in this giveaway to come here and relate his/her experience; this is quite important to me, because I’ll promote more giveaways to my subscribers only if they feel they are valuable.

The Giveaway I’m promoting right now is the following:

So, if you participate in this Giveaway (even if you are not one of my subscribers) leave your comment here about your participation, if you liked it, if it was valuable for you and if you would like to participate in more of these events.

Cheers all.

    Jorge how are you?

I’ve participated in giveaways before and what you’ve said is very important.

You will get subscribers from them. There is no doubt. But you must give something of VALUE.

Too many people in giveaways forget that and when oyu don’t you just end up with an unresponsive list.

    Thanks for the post.

Hey Jorge, I total agree with your thinking on having a unique and valuable gift, that should certainly pull in more subscribers.

I have still not participated in a giveaway need to get my butt in gear and get it sorted.

I have got many great free gifts on giveaways, so I think you are right to recommend them, lots of great info can be found.

    Hi Nathan

Yeah, giving something with real value seems to be the key. And I start to believe that it is much better if it is something made for you. After all, I’ve been looking at some giveaways that are live now and we see a lot of duplicated stuff… it seems that PLR and MRR sources are finite and everybody likes the same.

    Keep visiting my friend

    Hey Sally!

Great interview with David and really liked to hear you the other night in Alex coaching session. Great work lass.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you’ll find my gift in the worldcup giveaway. I tried to offer something different but really useful.

    Hi Jorge:

Thank you for writing such an informative post. I too am looking to join in on the GiveAways but still working on a product to contribute.
I like your blog’s style too. Where did you get your theme?

      Hi Julie
I too was planning to create a product before join a Giveaway event, but the opportunity was just too appealing, so I did a little research and found a LPR product that I believe is really great and didn’t see it duplicated yet.

As for my theme, I got it from WooThemes.

Nick, mate, thanks for your comment.

What videos you’re talking about? Did I forget something? If so, let me know and I’ll jump on it… it’s been so much to do, so many different things to test that is almost a certain I left something behind…

Waiting for your answer my friend.

Good pointers on giveaways Jorge. I joined a giveaway as well and we’ll see how that goes. Hope you are successful with this one and that you get a lot of subscribers.

I think when Nicky was referring to the blog videos above he just meant if you had recorded any yet. There seems to be a lot of people recording videos he just wanted to know if you were jumping on the bandwagon as well. At least that’s what I think he meant:)

    Take care!

Look forward to coming back when I am ready with my eBook to join the next giveaway. Keep me posted!

    Hi Anna
Thanks for your comment, I really hope you’re right because I would feel bad if I missed something I might have promised to someone.
So far I have few subscribers but I have at least two :p
It still some days to go, I’m promoting basically in Twitter, since I’m really busy on “real world”… don’t you hate when it happens?

  12. Jorge 15 June 2010 at 10:59 pm Permalink

    Hello Charlotte

Thanks a lot for your kind words, glad to see you around. It’s an amazing feeling when you meet your goals, you feel real good.
As for the next month goals, I’m stuck in “real world” so I’m losing a lot of time, I barely can keep updated with answers to comments from my visitors…
Glad to know you too and wish you all the best.

Hi Alex, thanks so much for visiting my blog.

I read your blog posts carefully and liked what I saw there. Also I saw that you’re a eZine publisher with success. I’m looking deeply in this Article marketing strategies, maybe I can come back to you for some questions?
Thanks a lot and e-mail me if you need some good advice for Giveaways, I can put you in contact with real experts in the subject.

    Hi Davy
So far I can’t say it’s been a success for me but it isn’t a total failure also. Sadly, I’m too much involved in real world business for the last days so I can’t promote it as I should, but got already TWO subscribers… not bad, right? 😉
Nice experience thought, you should try it.

I think giveaway campaign is very effective. It takes a bit of promoting and time consuming but I think you will gain much out of it. Good luck!

      Hi Justin

Thanks for your words. Time is exactly my problem at the moment, but I’ll do what I can.
