The journey begins

Hello everybody!

I’m really excited with the journey ahead and this my first post marks the start of it.

I’ve been watching the Internet Marketing phenomena for some time, but only a few months ago I decided I want to build a business online.

So I’ve been studying a lot of techniques and strategies, spent my share on e-books and online courses, tried a lot of business models, but always with no success. By the end of the day, I just spent more and more money and earnings were zero! Nada!

But I must be honest with you: I think I’ve been suffering from the same problems of the majority of the wanna-be-a-internet-marketer: lack of focus, jumping from technique to technique, always looking for the next big and shiny button to automatic fill my pockets, lack of perseverance… you know what I’m talking about. Most of you know.

But I made another and very important decision: I’m going to succeed! I’m going to find my way, follow the path of successful people and reach the top of the mountain. And I’m committed with that.

I’m also committed to enjoy the journey. I think that we must have fun while we’re working and learning and that we must share. This will allow us to find good companions in our journey and having nice people walking with you makes everything easier, funnier and you even don’t notice the hard work.

So I want to announce, as a start, that I’m not earning money in this business, so my first goal is to make my first buck online! That will be the first milestone.

As for company, I’m with a very nice group of people. My mentor, Alex Jeffreys, and all the present and past Alex students. With their help, advice and humor I’m sure I’ll get there.

And I did not forget what I said before about sharing. I’ll be posting here not only my progress but also what I learn and what it seems effective or must be avoided. And I’ll be glad to answer your questions, if I know the answers, and to read your comments and advice.

I must confess that I never thought I could write so much in my first post, but the words wanted to come outside.

So, come visit from time to time, leave your comments, and I’m sure we can all learn with each other.

Hi Jorge, just stopping by to say we have the same dreams and aspirations and it is good to see another person take up the challenge of achieving financal independance.

Like you earned a big fat zero so far online!

I like your theme very crisp, I would appreciate some advice on getting my theme as crisp as yours.

Alex is the mani man, no doubt about it.

He’s clearly inspired both of us to give up the faffing around and to get our selves organised and focused.

      Hi Hiro
Thanks for stopping by. I really appreciate your comment and you’re right, Alex is a source of inspiration for all of us.
I’ve seen a lot of people taking the challenge and a lot of people failing, mainly because they lack someone to guide them. It’s not easy, although is not impossible either. But with Alex’s help and the community I believe we have all we need to achieve success.
Regarding the theme, I’m glad you liked it. It’s a theme from WooThemes – Premium WordPress Templates (yes, it’s an affiliate link :)) and they really have very nice themes, some of them for free.
Let’s move forward on your path and together will reach the top.

    Hey Jorge,

Your blog looks great mate you even got a logo with your initials which looks very professional.

I think we have a great mentor in Alex he’s got the whole teaching thing down and know’s how to go about it which makes things alot easier for us the students.

We are all on the road to success now and it is up to ourselves to put what we are being taught into action.

    Great post mate

    Hello Jorge,

May I say that I am very impressed with your professional looking blog and even more so with your superb writing style. I really like it and your readers will love it as well!

I am also a complete newbie, with zero dollars and zero subscribers as of today. Actually created my very first ever blog post late last night.

Lets learn and grow together on this wild ride with Alex and his MWA 3.0 team – best wishes Jorge and lets go and kick some butt!

    Hi Peter, Glyn

Thanks a lot for passing by and leaving your comments.
I’m sure we will accomplish our goals with Alex’s teachings and guidance.

The most important to me is that for the first time I’m in a path for something. Every time I tried any kind of internet marketing stuff was always without plan, direction or even goal, just to see if I could make some bucks online.

But now we’re building a business, and sooner or later we’ll get there.

Best wishes for all and stay tuned for next posts 🙂

    Hi Jorge,

Love the look of your blog! Also, you will be glad you made the decision to succeed as we have a great mentor. No more looking for the next best thing because we have it here.

It is now time to stay focused and take consistent action, no excuses! Here’s wishing you the best in your online endeavors and let me know if there is anything I can help you with.

    Jorge my friend.

Your blog is looking good. I got my theme from Woo Themes as well. They’ve got some really good ones on there.

Your post is brilliant. Those shiny buttons keep people (like me for so long) away from building a REAL business online.

But now we know different. The MWA community is amazing. Just have a look around the internet right now. We’re everywhere!

To building profitable and long lasting businesses (and taking as many people with us as we can!)

    Reach new heights.

We have no reason to NOT to succeed. It is all upto us to make it happen. And we will make it happen together. its our pledge.
Great post mate; keep in touch.

Great post! I really enjoy your writing style. I went through an eBook buying craze myself. i remember when I made my first dollar online I didn’t even know how I did it. Ha! Would you believe i not no system whatsoever? I was doing stuff without rhyme or reason. Nathan is right we know different now. Alex Jeffreys is teaching us a replicable system to build a real business online. Although, I consider myself a newbie I am so excited about the potential and the path laid before us. Keep working hard my friend. You just won a new fan.

    All the Best,

    Hi Jorge

I really love your blog. Did you do the header graphics yourself or are they part of the theme? (pretty sure it’s your own, though).

Could you help me with something like that, or advise? I’m a JC instead of JB and I want my header graphics to be eye-catching,a bit like yours, but Jaycee Online, etc. etc.(on my wp theme, my header is in tiny font and I don’t know how to change it on the stylesheet. I don’t know hardly anything about HTML – just looked briefly at http://www.w3.org).

I don’t have a proper web editor unless artisteer.com and free web builder counts?

I have a friend who could help but he’s off to Texas then Barbados for 3 weeks as we speak – if he can get out of Heathrow, that is!

Anyway, let me know if you can help.

      Hello Joyce

yes, I can help you, no worries.

I created the graphics by myself with some free programs that you can get on the web. One is GIMP, you can get it at http://www.gimp.org/. It’s a free tool for graphics design and manipulation and myself, I don’t know exactly how to create images. I search for images in the internet that are similar to what I want, edit them with GIMP and use the layers already existing to create my own ;p
Another is a package with some nice tools for creating icons, favicons, buttons, banners and all of that, I must really search for it because I believe I have a Resell Right and I’ll put it in my blog when I find it. 🙂
Finally, there is XHeader, another free tool to create Haders that you can download in http://www.xheader.com
Hope it helps, if you need any personal assistance just email me.
